The Ronald McDonald House will be built on land directly across the street from Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn at the corner of 93rd Street and Kostner Avenue. Families will be only minutes away from their children in the hospital.
For many years, staff and supporters of Hope Children's Hospital have been working towards building a "guest house" for the parents of critically-ill children being treated at their hospital. In early 2005, RMHC-CNI learned about the need for housing for these parents and agreed to partner with Hope and its supporters to build a Ronald McDonald House.
The House will have 16 bedrooms with private baths. As with all of our Houses, our families will have access to welcoming common spaces that provide the comfort of home: a play room, game room, large kitchen, several living areas, library, and even outdoor patios to enjoy.
The house is schedule to open October of 2008.
